In another thread, Dublin City FM's John Public mentioned that one of the stations he was with was Music Radio from Blackrock.

When did this station operate and who else was involved?

Well now here's the history as best as i remember it. Music Radio was operated during the summer months of 83 on 99FM and then returned for a similar period in 1984 on both 99 and 106FM. It returned after a long absence in 1991 on 105.5 and ultimately joined forces with NSR in Stillorgan to become NSR Music Radio in 1992. It was one of if not the first pirate to eventually transmit from 3-Rock since the 1988 closedowns

Very interesting indeed. I knew of NSR and had heard it, but I did not know about this merger. When in 1991 did Music Radio return and what frequency was NSR on when they were both operating as separate stations?

I hate to be a pest but do people know who was involved at different times with Music Radio (including the owners/station operators)?
