Just a bit of fluff but seems appropriate at this time of year.

Tell us some stories of negative splits.

There are three that come to my mind are

    1. 3:29:30 with 25 min negative split as 1:57:33/1:31:57 - Link here. He told me that he was just trundling along until halfway when he thought "screw this" and he took off!

    2. 2:31:47 with 5 min negative split as 78:30/73:17 - link here. Same runner as above. He did aim to go out conservatively but got caught amongst slower runners at the start. Impressive progression in his pace especially when you consider that it was a 5 min PB.

    3. 2:29:55 with 9 min negative split as 79:28 & 70:27. Link here. It stands out in my memory for some reason although in truth it was just a training run for him with half steady and the other half at marathon pace. His PB is 2:16:47.

I think he was the guy who passed Abhainn, while he was en-route to his 2:36.
