Single Farm Payment and Modulation

Hi All ,

was onto Department of Ag today and they said that no modulation is charged on SFP less than €5,000. But I contacted them back in 2008 and they said that Modulation was charged on all of the SFP paid out. i.e any amount greater than 0.

So as you can understand I am a bit confused and would be great if anybody could clarify things a small bit.

(a) Was there any Modulation charged on the SFP payments since 2008(excluding 2013) on SFP Less than €5,000.

(b) If Modulation only charged on SFP , then , if the SFP was €5,200 would the Modulation be charged on the full €5,200 or on the €200 .

Afaik you only pay modulation on the amount over 5k

It started at 3%i think and went up a % every year, now it's capped at 10%

Not sure what the story will be after next year with new system

if I remember right modulation used to be deducted on all sfp and later on in the year everyone got a cheque for 150 euro as the return of modulation

Hi , back again with another Modulation Question .

I heard there was going to be new charges on Single Payments for 2013 , either the Modulation was going include all SFP payment greater than 0 or a separate charge of 4% was to be charged including the Modulation charge of 10%.

Would anyone have any info on this at all.
