"Ireland" I replied, "ok" says he and I continued on my way. I never questioned him as I was anxious to keep moving Does anyone know who he is, SW, Garda, customs? No I.d just high viz vest. I'm puzzled.

This is not the correct forum for this thread so I am going to close it now as I can't think of where to put it, but I would hazard a guess he was just doing a survey of nationalities that use the airport.
