Surprised there hasn't been a post yet but I'm def looking forward to having SMS integration into hangouts before the end of the week .. been long enough .. Like like it will be released with Nexus 5 and Kit-Kat

Like the look of of the photo and movie updates also.. Could be a good week for Google/Android.

I just read about all of that online and I like the sound of it. The Auto Awesome feature of Google Photos is pretty cool already and the new ones they are adding seem great. Also, Snapseed updated to have a HDR effect which is pretty powerful.

I'm more interested in the Chromecast SDK going public, Google Music for iOS, Nexus 5, updated Nexus 10, Android 4.4 and devices coming to the Irish play store. With the exception of the devices coming to the Irish play store which is wishfull thinking on my part all the rest were rumored for an October release. The global release of the chromecast app had hopes of the sdk going public and Google Music for iOS, which was announced was coming to iOS back in May, was widely reported to finally be released this month. I've lost count of how many dates in October were meant to get the Android and Nexus updates. While the Google+ updates are nice and great to get they aren't the updates I'm looking forward to.

It's torture using an old iPhone after losing your Nexus and not replacing it as your waiting for the new Nexus 5 to be released. I really didn't think Google Music would be one of the things I missed most.

with all due respect though lads. Who uses their google+ account regularly?

I hate to say it but its a failed concept. Update or no update, Facebook is the go to social platform.

Much like twitter, I don't have the foggiest baldy how to use it, nor do I wish to.

    Simplify it Google.

I use it daily but as a half between twitter & facebook. Great place for tech news especially and lots of detailed posts instead of quick twits. Plus much less facebook bollocks posts

I use it daily too and I'm glad to not have a duplicated facebook. I use it for communities and, as mentioned, tech news and articles.

    as above..

I use it daily and find it great for updates/info with regard to specific communities/interests I have...Android for example....
Also great for sharing photos with specifc people(s) :)

It's great for sharing photos of kids with close family etc.

Love the auto backup photo thing.

Auto Backup feature is one of the best things Google has done in recent years. This should be my signature but "come on Drive folder intergration" :)

Also if anyone want's to update early, the APK is available right here - the new Photos app is part of Google+ and is really smooth, puurty!

I'm with the previous posters in that it's great for the communities feature. You still get the occasional asshat making comments but generally folks seem quite... adult.

FYI, I don't use Facebook or Twitter. My work colleagues says it makes me old.. But then they say this while making faces at their phones using Snapchat so I don't think their opinion is valid :-D
