    Hi All,

I have a simple question that came up this evening and I realized that despite 12 years in school with religion classes (and church four times a week) I never really felt was fully explained. I was talking with someone how had no religious background and I was stumbling badly attempting to explain.

The Holy Trinity is the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Well I know The Father is The Man, Jesus was his son and is the third is... But who is the "Holy Ghost"?

Sorry if this is an incredibly simplistic question but I'm honestly a little baffled.

    REALLY simple?

OK, God the Father and creator

Jesus the Son & sacrifice for our sins. the one who walked on Earth as a man

the holy Ghost (or more commonly used nowadays Holy Spirit) is the power source behind the gifts of the Spirit. Jesus referred to The Spirit as the Comforter

The holy Spirit testifies of the Son. Of His doing of His Dying of His rising.
“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. - John 15:26
The Holy Spirit does not testify about us or anyone else.

(just thought I'd throw that in there)
