1,2 & 4,5 are just different shots of the same thing.

Looks well, wouldn't have the patience or the knife skills to do that, I would have a bloody look to the pumpkin if I tried it anyway.

I remember doing this with a big turnip when I was a kid. God bless rural Ireland in the 80s!

I think your more likely to get attacked/egged than trick or treaters this year.:D

Hang a bag of brussels sprouts from the door with a pumpkin reading "Help yourself"

They're actually handy enough to do, that was my first one. Scooping out the insides is about the worst of the job, some stink.

Wasn't just rural Ireland that had to make do with turnips!

The pumpkins we have nowadays are about twice the size of the turnips we had back then :))

I tend to avoid Facebook at this time of year as it's full of competitive parents flaunting their artistic pumpkin designs and making me feel like a shit parent.

Not my best work, but this is this years effort,

    Y2Q9Xigl.jpg

...and here in a different light,

    U7tMk3Gl.jpg

I was going to post the one I did a few years ago which I'm especially proud of but I can't find it anywhere, so, buggery....

    Anyway, there it is.

NOTE: weird. Has something changed here? Used to see the actual images, but now just a link. I dunno. Could be the wine...

    Oh, here's last years,

    j2iDrrVl.jpg

    ...and,

    DkZUHMpl.jpg

If I find a piccy of my best one(the first year I did it) I'll post it up!

The birds had it earlier. Every year I promise myself I'm going to make a pumkin pie but never actually do. Next year's the charm, I promise.
