Metal Lathe

    Hi,

I have been looking for a metal lathe for some time now but I have never found anything suitable (adverts, donedeal, gumtree etc.)

Ideally I would like a Myford Super 7 or ML7 which are old mechines however built to last and far better then the new chinese lathes available.

There are plenty in the UK however getting them from one side of the water to the other is proving a problem as they are collection only and cash on collection.

Does anyone know of a lathe perhaps in a shed somewhere in Ireland that they would like to move on. Ideally nothing massive. At least transport is not too difficult and most locations are only 2-3 hours away.

If there are none here for a reasonable price (I was looking at one in bad need of repair which cost the same as a refurbished lathe in the UK) I will keep trying my luck in the UK.

    Thanks

    Scott

i have an ml7 with stand and a few extras. has a new cross-slide spindle and nut. very little bed wear. i bought it from a jewellery maker when i was in the UK and brought it home with me. i am doing a few turning jobs with her at the minute.
I am not really pushed to sell as i always find odd jobs for it but if i get around the 2k mark i may sell her on...

I picked up a Metric Super 7 B with powercross feed before Christmas in the UK. Could do with a new cross feed screw and nut, and the bed is abit worn however a really impressive machine which I am delighted with.
