Anyone seen this ? It features a guy on a train doing something on his phone. The phone itself is a Nokia Lumia 920, with an android screen superimposed.
Kicker is the app is not available on WP...

Like on an episode of Parks and Recreation recently; one of the characters was using Snapchat.. on a yellow Lumia. Looked well all the same!

I do and I'll be making it a more public issue than they try to hide.

In fairness the demand just isn't as big, I honestly don't know anyone with a windows phone.

Your on a board full of them :-) . Where I work I know there is about 10 windows phones in use.

I wonder does it constitute false advertising showing our beloved lumia running the product being advertised with it actually being available on the platform? :-)

It's a rehash of the Natwest Ad, that's the worst thing they're sister banks already have WP apps, so you'd think it would be quick enough to swap out the images.

Android and iPhone developers are ten a penny.

Windows Phone developers not so much.

No. You need Visual Studio (or similar)

I know for windows phone 8 you need windows 8 to get the SDK. Windows 8.1 store app SDK is windows 8.1 locked. I have a server 2012 vm in azure and not a hope can I do windows app store dev on it and that's with full visual studio not express.

Now I can kinda understand windows 8.1 requiring the OS. But windows phone needing it stumps me. You will debug the apps in the emulator and deploy to a windows phone.

If I am wrong its news to me.

    P.s. wp 7.8 CSV doesn't need win 8

I know at least 6 people with one, but it is not as common as Android is.

A lot of public servants use Windows phones. The US government said at one stage that the phones are very secure...

    That's very ironic.

Just because you know 6 doesn't warrant anything.
