Ok lads heres the situation, im looking to get myself a jeep for shooting and bringing the dogs, pulling my boat etc, cars are a no go as id wreck on site.
the problem is im under 25 and I dont want to be screwed with the price of insurance, i have a full licence with no points, anyone know any cheap companies or that, now I could get one of my parents to take out a policy and name me on it if that will be cheaper?
I also have a flock number so I can get cheaper tax.

any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'd get a policy in your own name and build up some no claims, the on the parents insurance route could end up with you not covered at all.

At 25 you should stand half a chance. Others on here have had good quotes from insuremyvan.ie but if you don't get any joy on the phone (computer says no syndrome ) go in to a local broker's office and talk to someone sensible. I've had good service from Axa and Campion offices.

you male or female? My daughter who is 21 got insured for 650 on https://www.its4women.ie/ when all other companies were at least 1200

So much for EU forcing Ire to impose equality on insurance companies

I think they get around it by only insuring females
