EI offering 50% off checked in baggage for travel between April and September 2014.

Seems a good offer when you compare baggage cost with FR. Ends 3 November.

Looking at their early-bird so called "offers" transatlantic flights are considerably more expensive than in 2014.

That's because US are not included in this, just Europe. They will have lots of summer sales over the next few weeks.

Ah fuppit anywhoo! I know a few people travelling to Rome next April ('14) for the Canonisation of Pope John Paul II and I was thinking of travelling also & making a weeks travel out of it with a few of them instead of 2-3 days.
Up to my eyes in medical bills (damn painful fracture in me fupping lower spine) at the mo so can't book flights. Hopefully they will run another offer again.

    Thanks for sharing :)

Always have one in the New year, first couple of days of Jan. Prices now will likely be the same as the 50% of bags will be transferred to seats.

Do you think Aer Lingus will drop their Shannon to Faro prices now that RyanAir are flying from Shannon to Faro and are cheaper?
