I have an outside light on a sensor and have it turned off now, as the Dog comes out of the kennel to have a Pi## at night it was lighting the whole garden up so my answer is no.;)

no,i dont think dogs have any concept of light and dark,so it means nothin to them, plus they have better night vision than us,if you want to make them more comfortable in the coldest winter months use a heat lamp, they will appreciate that.

I'll be putting a light into mine at the weekend, Put a roof up 2 weeks ago but the light is basically because over the winter i leave for work in the dark and i return in the dark so light is for me so i can clean them and feed them!
