Need a book or display to keep a coin collection safe in, 400 coins. Is there any dealer or website that sells such items?

    What type of coins american?Foreign

You can get nice albums for american coins which i will be getting in the next 2-3 months for 15 albums shipped from the states it will be 200-250 but they are very high quality albums ...harris coin albums. For example the Lincoln cent Album contains a slot every year and mint mark and the coin is protected front and back perfect for housing a complete set like many others

For random foreign coins etc youd get them off ebay. Here the biggest i found 250 slots get 2 for 25 euro shipped. If they are expensive coins put them in mylar holders or coin flips.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tan-Coin-Album-Coin-collecting-book-Holders-Mixed-250-Pockets-total-10-pages-/281060400042?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4170815baa

Mind me asking what sorta coins you collect? :)

I collected millennium special edition Irish pound coins when I was young, they are just in a box at the moment so I need to find a better way to keep them. Are they worth much I wonder? Thanks for the detailed reply

The very fact that everyone kept these aside makes them the most common Irish decimal coin in existence today. For that reason at very best they'd be worth a fraction over face value, that is if you can find someone who'd take them from you. One thing you should do is stack them up and look at the rims in case you have an milled edge ones, those could be worth 15 to 20 Euro each. But other than that, the rest are not worth putting in an album.

These are the special edition ones that came out with the "Broighter Boat", I've nearly 400 of them. If they can b got for face value then let me know where please and I'll buy any amount

Hi Brian, unfortunately the Broighter boat coins you have are worth very little. As a few others have already stated, lots of people kept these coins aside thinking they would be worth something in the future but all that happened was that it made them very common. If the coins were in perfect mint condition, fresh out of the bag, they might be worth 3-4 each. But if they have just been kept in a box they are probably only worth about one Euro each.

On eBay at the moment there are seven of them for sale, some looking for the ridiculous price of 18 Euro. But if you search the sold items you will see that they rarely sell for over 4 Euro and I would have considered that to have been a high price. If you wanted to sell them it would take you a long, long time to shift 400 of them.

Thanks very much for the response. I'm not selling them anyway but I would like to buy more, if you or anyone has some for sale, I'll buy them.
