Another PPV, another screwy finish to Bryan/Orton. I thought it was too obvious that someone would turn on Bryan. I desperately wanted a clean finish of some sort to this match, but another screwy ending means I've just lost what little interest I had left in the Bryan/Orton story.

Cena's comeback was also so predictable, but at least it was an attempt at a "feel good" moment.

The tag match was brilliant. Punk's "ultimate beatdown" of Heyman was disappointing; THAT's what we've waited all this time for? And the rest of the show was filler.

I'll give the show a 5 cause of the tag match and the fact it wasn't BAD, it just wasn't GOOD....

Bryan and Orton must be done now? Not a sure how Bryan v Triple H is going to mix with Big Show Triple H storyline but I am guessing that is hatnwe will be seeing.

I enjoyed the PPV. Got exactly the type of PPV I was expecting.

Excellent opener, two cell matches and WHC were all good. Big E and Ambrose could be a good feud if Axel is out for a while.

The ending of the main event was fine with me, Bryan shouldn't be WWE Champion again for a while if the Authority are going to look any way credible come Mania. Another screwy ending is a bit Ott I admit but better than Orton winning clean.

Ending of Punk v Ryback/Heyman was fine with me. Hey man is not a wrestler so Punk laying a a serious, prolonged beat down on him, putting him through tables etc would be wrong so whipping him with a cane, hitting GTS is as much as could be done, doing it on top of the Cell added something to the moment.

Hoping for Punk v Orton. Team Bryan v Team Authority at Survivor Series. Cena v Del Rio in some sort of a submission/I quit match.

Seen some people complaining that HBK screwing Bryan was another ****ty finish.

The way I looked at it, HBK gets hit in the eye and is down in the corner, doesn't see HHH tossing Bryan away, Bryan kicks him in the face in retaliation. As far as HBK saw, Bryan just randomly decided to kick HHH in the face while he was trying to help HBK and so instinctively superkicked him for what he deemed an unprovoked attack on his friend who was just trying to help him.

Am I looking at that right? Or am I just giving them too much credit and pulling a story out of a lump of sheet ending?

Yep pretty sure that's how we're supposed to look at it

I'm not usually one to complain about screwy finishes, but the nature and quality of the now three nonsense finishes (in a row) that have come out of the Bryan/Orton thing only suggests to me that the "story" is being cobbled together on the fly. I have no idea where they're going or where they could go. Very very bored now.

Also, I'm not usually one to complain about John Cena winning, but when Cena was celebrating with the belt he just one for no reason and the commentators were struggling to find any superlatives that the audience would buy, all I could think about was how they didn't even bother to craft a story involving his eturn, they just flung him in there cynically thinking that's all they need to do to get the Facebook comment-types back on side..

The roster is maybe as strong as it's ever been, there are few guys I don't like seeing on any given show, but god damn it's like the guys booking this stuff have forgotten how 2 wrestling.

Thought the opener and main event were both excellent and the Punk/Ryback match was much better than their HIAC match last year.

However the show reminded me why I dislike Cena so much. His match was just another formulaic Cena match. The injured elbow could have made the match so much better imo, the way Zigglers concussion was worked into the match at Payback, but Cena pretty much ignored it once he got the upper hand. Add to that how much I've enjoyed Del Rio's matches this year and it makes me dislike it more.

Overall I thought it was a decent show, the opener was great especially the suplex to the outside... I also popped for Kane's return and was happy to see Big E on the ppv and as a babyface having seen him on nxt. Was also happy to see AJ get the clean victory but unfortunately another screwy finsh to the main event left the crowd going home unhappy.

The tag team match was great, one of my favourites this year so far. Everyone in that match was just awesome.

Ryback vs CM Punk was fairly decent, gimmick matches suit Ryback better they hide his flaws a lot better. The end was a bit anti climatic with Punk just hitting Heyman with a Kendo stick and then GTS, also given the fact Heyman looked terrified to be up there, Punk messing with him by running towards the edge of the cell when about to deliver the GTS.

The Cena/Del Rio match was ok, a little disappointing since I consider Del Rio one of the best performers in WWE at the moment. The match in general was a bit flat, it started to liven up towards the end.

Langston vs Ambrose was decent, the cuts they got looked pretty nasty, the match slowed down a lot after this looked like they try to finish it soon after with the blood. The diving spear by Langston was awesome.

Bryan vs Orton was ok but it lost focused with Michaels and Triple H being there, I've seen Orton and Bryan have better matches before. People complaining about Orton just smacks of my guy didn't win, and constantly complaining about WWE. I rather see Bryan have his moment at the Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania.

    GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY

I knew Big E got a nasty one under the eye, but I didn't see what had happened to Ambrose. He looks like his chin should be falling out.

Chore of a show to watch besides the tag team opener.

That's Bryan's chance of being a top level face well and truly finished.Find it amazing how badly they've booked him since Summerslam. He'll have a mickey mouse feud with Triple H where he won't even be the sole focus of attention because Big Show will be knocking about chasing HHH too,and then he'll be back wrestling Axel and all the other duds.

    So bloody frustrating.

I find it amazing that Summerslam would've been the ideal time for Bryan to win (and keep) the title and they came so close to actually getting it right. October hasn't been a great months for US wrestling PPV's. Opener was great though.

They don't seem to be running the "confused and lashed out at the wrong guy" angle, at least on Twitter...

    @ShawnMichaels
Technically, you have encouraged my high-jinx for 25+ yrs...so sorta kinda, you all have some culpability in all this...#ImJusSayin :-)

That seems to imply he screwed Bryan on purpose....

Goldust/Codys theme is one of the most naff things ive heard, should just use one of their individual themes rather than that crap

Yeah it's a bit of a cheesy mash up alright. Maybe that legend of a man Jim Johnson will work on a new theme for them, something like a re-mix of Dusty's song, seeing as Natalya Neidhart and Curtis Axel come out to remixes of their respective family members theme songs.

Gonna be honest, I think the WWE had done a good job in stopping me caring too much about Bryan long ago. Can't help but think it was intentional. Either way I've lost interest in what happens him going forward, and find it difficult to see him as a credible opponent who could realistically be allowed beat any of those who return for Wrestlemania season.

Wouldnt mind that so much, but even if they did just let them out to their individual themes (cody comes out as far as the stage, then waits for Goldusts and both walk down together) it would be a huge improvement. Goldusts entrance is one of the most crowd popping in the current WWE and dicking around with it is just not right:P

For a gimmick PPV it was alright. I can see Bryan taking a back seat for awhile until Royal Rumble where he wins the main event. I think the next couple of months will be Punk vs. Orton. I sucpects that one of the teams for SS will be WWE vs. Authority

This all relies on the notion that the WWE are trying to gradually Bryan up towards being the top guy. I don't see Bryan being allowed be in a Wrestlemania main event with the way things have been done so far. I expect a heel to win the Rumble (possibly Orton or Lesnar) and face Cena for his title.

Ambrose is going to get his own feature of 'everybody talks too much' on botchamania isn't he? 'turn me around' 'get in the corner' 'belly to belly'

Was there talk of unifying the titles again on here recently? I thought a Cena and Bryan win last night would've set up a nice semi-heel turn for Cena.

Picture it, he's the poster boy of the wwe, HHH wants the belt off Bryan, so he unifies the belts and has Cena face off against Bryan for a unified title. Cenas not bothered about all the 'best for business stuff' and just wants the title, allowing him to be a heel, without really being a heel and affecting his squaky clean image.

Just what was going through my head all last night anyway.

Average show. Thought Bryan came out of the show looking ok-ish.

Anyone else notice the wink HHH gave to Bryan when he was showing him the WWE title before the match started?was half hoping that it would be part of Bryan turning heel later on in the match.

Just on that, Cena was far too audible, at one stage he could be heard saying "five" and "German" just before Del Rio's German suplex spot.

Blown away by the tag titles match. This is awesome chant, fully deserved. Goldy rolling back the years and Cody looking very much like a star. Seth Rollins is an absolute boss at selling. Crazy bumper.

Aj Lee and Big E Langston on the PPV while Dolph sits around talking like a geek.

The Sweet Chin Music from HBK was botched to bits, really spoiled it for me and the chair spot wasn't too much of a pay off.

Real Americans vs Matadores was great fun for what it was. Cesaro is a BEAST.

Hope Punk moves on from this programme now. He's above it.

Don't know what to say about Cena winning. It's fresh and stale at the same time!

    6/10

The two cell main events seemed to be lacking in energy or some element. Tag team match was superb and I would second the work of Seth Rollins.

I dont mind the bit of hoopla at the end of the Bryan Orton match but so many ppv's this year with interference is a bit much imo.

Delighted more to see Del Rio lose than Cena win.

I must be the only one that didnt think the opener was anything special. Good match but nothing amazing. The Uso's were pointless inclusions and I reckon it would have been a better match without trying to squeeze them in. Thought we would get a new type match when Cole said one man from each team in at all times. Dont think thats been done, at least not on a major scale or recently.

Can someone please explain how Punk is the babyface? He won the match, then proceeded to attack a non wrestler with a weapon who was also terrified of heights. Add in the fact that Punk was the one who tried to ditch Heyman and everything points towards him being the heel. Havent watched Raw but considering HIAC, hopefully thats the end of it and they move Heyman onto something worthwhile.

Cena vs Del Rio and Ambrose vs Big E were decent, but let downs. All four are capable of better. Hopefully they get that chance in the near future. A lot of people will no doubt be bitching about Cena, but they seem to forget what it does for the title. From opener to highly placed on the card. Even if Cena didnt win, the simple fact that he was willing to return early just because he was offered a shot at the title should make it seem more important than it has in a long time.

The main event never really got out of second gear. The only way the ending would have been any more predictable was if Big Show had turned up. I do have to give credit to WWE. Only two or so months ago Bryan was the hottest thing in wrestling. They have completely killed interest in him with constant crap finishes. Hard to see Bryan being the top guy any time soon. Especially now that Cena is back and Punk is presumably finished bullying Heyman.

Overall a decent enough show, but nothing amazing. Slightly above average so I gave it a 7 since their was nothing awful.... bar Miz's attempt at a tough guy promo. That was just cringe worthy.

Lol, was expecting a rating of 2 after that review but then saw you gave it a 7. Brilliant.

Almost as good as the Cena winning is fresh and stale at the same time line.

    Mine?

I nearly always go with 6 or 7. It has to be shockingly bad or great to get lower or higher. HIAC was neither. Nothing great, but nothing awful that didnt include the Miz holding a mic.

Didnt think my comments sounded like a 2 out of 10 rating :o
