I got up-graded to newer hd boxes in my house and they just sensed them out , I still have the old boxes here , but it's like the card or box has been turned off , can you do anything to get them working again ???? Any advice on this out there ,

No, each box is associated with an individual card, so a 'working' card will not even work in an old box.

Usually they'll take the old boxes off you if they swap them for newer ones, I'm surprised they didn't.

Don't throw them out without contacting UPC first.

I moved house and I got a call 2 months later asking for a suitable time for them to collect the UPC boxes, If I did not have them, then they probably would have charged me for them

You cannot switch back on an old box, the box is coded to the card that came with it originally, it is the property of UPC and should be returned, I as other people already stated should have been collected by UPC....they can collect them at any time so best put away in a press or contact them to get them taken away.
