    what would a 10 year old octavia be like on petrol ie what would be their fuel consumption

    Last i checked fuel consumption was primarily dependent on what type of engine was in a car not how old the car was

    1.6 Octavia will do about 41-42mpg if she's running well

    That would be motorway driving by the way
    If it's a mix of town and motorway you will probably get mid to late thirties

    Mine does 45-49 easily on most journeys. Just keep it well serviced.

    Same as most 1.6's of that generation I'd say. Around 35-40 mixed.
