Van Winkle, slept for 20 years, apparently. Missed out on the American Revolution, the death of his wife, the marriage of his daughter and the birth of his grandson.

What's the longest you have slept for? Think I managed 12 hours once, but that was after two days without sleep.

I was in a coma for 2 years and 3 days. Does that count?

Another time I was cryogenically frozen for 6 years.
    Does that count?

You know that was just a story?
Anyway, sleeping for 12 hours every night would be my idea of heaven.
    I love sleeping :)

If another two or three pop their clogs they can change the forum name to "After Dying".

The forum can then move as a sub-category of the Christianity forum.

I thought this was another RIP on this date thread!

As he is pure fiction then fictional replies are sufficient, I assume.

I once slept for 2 months 5 days and 16 hours.

When did after hours become dedicated to dead or missing people?

Check AH. It's almost a comprehensive list at this stage.

Back on topic - I once slept for 36 hours straight - went to bed on Tuesday, and only found out at about lunchtime the next day that it was Thursday, not Wednesday.

I had been severely sleep-deprived in the preceeding days :D

Would never do it again, I practically needed counselling after it - I don't know how people who have been in comas cope :D

After really heavy nights on the piss, I've managed 16 or 17 hours asleep. Pretty depressing missing the whole day...

    Soooo good. So very good.
