i have an open fire with a firebird back boiler for about 28 years which still works perfect my problem is i intend to put in a fire front stove door but with the age of the back boiler is it worth it?
anyone know the life span of these back boilers?
the burberry fire door is costing around 800 euro

For €800 you could have a whole new stove.

yea but but my back boiler is working about 12 rads,to get a stove with that capacity would cost more than 800,plus the work involved taking it out, that is why i would like to know the lifespan of these b/boilers
