Is jewellery making considered art

I make jewellery as a hobby and was thinking of selling some online. I heard revenue is coming down hard on people trying to make a few bob selling cakes etc. I know artists are tax exempt. Does anyone know is the designing and making of jewellery considered art by revenue and would i be tax exempt?

You have to apply for the exemption and demonstrate artistic merit.

The categories seem very limited, but I suppose you could say jewellery is making "sculptures" out of gold/jewels?
