    I know it's been said before (many times), but the standard of shots posted just keeps getting better.

    I would be proud to have taken any of these shots. Having said that, I do prefer Janer's shot (slightly).

    Not detracting from the other great photos but how did M31 not get photo of the month?
    It's out of this world.
    Puns aside it's amazingly stunning imho, could be on the cover of a science magazine.

    I agree, I think the problem is it's so good people might assume (not with any malice) that's it's generated or taken with the Hubble.

    there weren't that many votes between the sky shot & the winning shot. like 2 or 3 as far as i can remember! it was very close!

    It's called democracy, more votes you get the higher the position!
    and maybe different people different tastes?
    Then again Landscapes shots on this site seems to suit 90% of people.
