hi can anyone help me out with my newly installed push button toilet .
when it gets flushed it fills right back up , but a few seconds later some water flows back down into the toilet bowl . this flow of water back into the bowl only happens for a few seconds and then stops .
can someone tell me what the problem is and how to fix it as i dont want to be wasting any water needlessly .

    anyone ?
starting to wreck my head now . toilet fills up like normal and then around 1 minute later some water trickles down into the toilet bowl for around 15 seconds and then the trickling stops .
want to sort this problem but dont know what part of the toilet internals to look at .
toilet is one of those new dual flush push buton jobbies . push button is built into the cistern lid .

Adjust the ballvalve so it shuts off slightly sooner , I'd say only a slight adjustment will sort it for you

what is a ball valve and where would it be in the cistern ?
all i know is that my toilet is one of those push flush button jobbies with 2 small buttons on the top of the lid .

If the picture of the internals was taken when the cistern had stopped filling then the water level looks to be ok and is not overfilling.
The slotted screw head at the end of the long red arm adjusts the water level in the tank, clockwise for more, anti-clockwise for less.
If it has only just been fitted why not ask the installer to come back and take a look at it for you.

toilet was fitted about 4 months ago . it fills up nice and fast .
around 1 minute after it has stopped filling up , a small trickle of water comes out down into the bowl .
the trickle of water only lasts for about 15 seconds though.
it has only started doing this in the last week or so .
