My problem is few years ago I tossed bag of rubbish into my stove. Problem was it contained a key fob for my car. Destroyed. Anyway I had a spare which has done me for years. Seems I fell from pocket ans is gone. As its 08 mini I foresee bmw going to fleece me.

Anyone had to replace in past? ? Any idea of cost or how long it takes?

Should be around $250-300 for the key, possibly programming.
