Can anybody give me a ball park figure on the cost of a clutch, dual mass flywheel and master cylinder for a 07 mk v golf. 1.9 tdi. It'll be Tuesday before I get to ring round.

Is there anything else worth replacing when I have all this out?
    Slave cylinder?

    Genuine vs non genuine

About €750 for clutch kit and dual mass flywheel.

The master cylinder would cost around €200 fitted. What is wrong with the master cylinder in your car?

There's been a shudder in the flywheel this last long time. Progressively getting worse. I've being putting it on the long finger.

I was away on holidays for three weeks last month so the car was parked up. When I came back it was very hard to get into gear. Not grinding. What I would call notchy.

This has being getting worse. It's really bad on cold morning but comes good once a bit of heat gets into it. I was hoping this was an issue with the oil so I changed the gearbox oil and added some Lucas additive. Still the same problem.

Also the ride height of the clutch dropped and I'm only getting a third of a stroke on the pedal hence I was thinking the master cylinder.

I'm not expert. Only guessing. I will get a proper opinion on it.

    Thanks for the reply
