Hi, just checked a car on Cartell.ie and this came up:

"The vehicle was not taxed for a period. A gap in taxation of at least 2
months, was found in between 2006-08-31 and 2007-10-31 A gap in
taxation of at least 3 months, was found in between 2010-01-31 and
2011-04-30 Gaps in taxation may indicate the vehicle was off the road
for an extended period. We recommend you clarify the reason with the
    vendor"

Overall it's a clean report, nothing else marked in red besides that.

Depends on what the seller has to say about it, but I would have no issue in particular.

Most of the cars I sold and bought looked like that. If it was something on cheap tax, I would ponder it more, if something on EUR1800+ lunacy tax then not so much pondering would be done.

1080. Thing is this tax used to be much smaller back then

My car wasn't taxed for 2 years before I bought it. No issues.

Ask the seller and see what they have to say. It's probably just tax dodging but do ask.

I wouldn't bat an eye lid at that, so long as the car is mechanically sound and at a decent price that's all I want.

Mine would probably say something similar. I used to be a hoor for getting the RF100 form stamped by the garda. Can't anymore :(

I wouldn't worry about it. The last few I bought had the same.

Wouldn't cost me a second thought. That is the very reason they tightened up the tax laws, tax the car for three months, risk 3 months without and then get the form stamped to say it was off the road.
