Can you use them on any site? They seem to be a run of the mill desposable visa debit card, is this correct? And if so, which name do put into the name field if I am to use some vouchers online?

This is the list of what stores accept the One4All cards, though be aware that this list is not up to date so there are shops that will not accept them anymore. They are well within their rights to do this, so no point having a hissy fit at them if you find they don't accept it, as a lot of people seem to do.

no they are not "run of the mill visa debit cards"

Visa is a brand name and you pay to use their payment technology. All Visa cards will commence with specific numbers exclusive to the particular issuer e.g. 4319 is ulster bank visa debit, 4142 is aib corporate visa etc etc

One4All is a totally separate payment system and have their own unique codes. The unique initial codes identifying the payment system is programmed into retail terminals / online payment systems. This allows for the retailer's merchant service provider (card payment processor) to pay the right commission levels to the right card providers - One4All take up to 12.3% net commission from a retailer (that's why fewer retailers take the card these days), so unless it is programmed ina nd the retailer has signed up to take the cards, they won't work.
