Me and partner broke up over last 4 months. In the end my partner got very negative about me and said some nasty things. I also said nasty things but not to the extent they did. I just feel hallow the last few months. Don't know if it's them I'm missing, the routines we used to have or just general hurt over how a relationship of a few years turned nasty to the extent it did (given we were happy overall and planning a future until quite recently). It all feels so cold, we have zero contact now which I know is probably best but is hard to get used to. I'd almost prefer if they had cheated on me 'cause I can't get my head around this at all.

Anyone else suffer similar? How long does it take for these feelings to subside? I know I should go off with someone else to try forget but that's not like me. I have put away things and deleted number etc. etc. but I'm still in shock 4 months down the line. Still feels alien and awful. Don't have the same get up and go I used to have.

sounds like normal feelings after a break up OP

you do miss the person, routine, company, life ye had together

"How long does it take for these feelings to subside?"

    that's different for everybody

just try to concentrate on yourself. take up a new hobby, go out with friends,

it does get better after a while when you go out and live your life
