Depends on what team you are looking for - you'll only get one match from any provider available here on an 80cm.

Astra 1 is also worth looking at...

Living in Ennis and looking to get Al Jazeera or canal+ set up. Is 80 dish plenty or is there need to go for the meter ? Thanks

You haven't said which satellite you've settled for but on the basis of your provider choices you might be looking at Hotbird?

80cm dish will get you 3pm football.

Canal+ (Poland?) will give you a 3pm Premier League match. (Sky Italia will also)

Jazeera Sports on Hotbird will give you a Championship 3pm match.

A metre dish won't give you any more than an 80cm on Hotbird.

As always though, giving those whom you're questioning a better idea of what you're seeking will only help yourself ;)

Thanks radiowaves, what I'm basically looking to do is cancel sky sports at some stage and try and get the same sports by other means (legal), I read Al Jazerra Sport have got EPL rights and they show the Heineken cup, I like Spanish football also, I'm mainly interested in watching these. I appreciate any help you can give or point me in the right direction as to where I can watch these sports !

Not on a 80cm dish in Ireland they don't (or any other size of dish realistically)

You can forget Jazeera for Premier League. They're spread across 3 satellites but you'll only get the channels on Hotbird with your dish - and they are seriously stripped down and absolutely no chance of Premier League. I can't speak for the Heineken Cup - others may be able to tell you if that's on Hotbird.

You will get Spanish football on Canal+ (Poland) but bear in mind there is no English language commentary on any of their sports. Canal+ would certainly be the cheapest subscription but other providers you might look at are Sky Italia or Sky Deutschland or Digital+ Spain.

13e now is the best, 1w use to be for me but has gone down hill as recent.

10e for feeds now and again too is great.... Watched Spurs v Hull Live the other night with English commentary.

    The swimming pool?

    Liverpool?

Also some punctuation would help :D

If the latter, you will find that if they are playing at 3pm they are guaranteed to be shown on the majority of providers (the only exception is if Manchester United are also playing at 3pm - but, of course, the two of them at that time is exceptionally rare).

On that basis the Canal+ Poland sub would suit you.

canal + poland have shown nearly if not all liverpool league games this season so far

And just to make it appear that I haven't a clue what I'm talking about Liverpool's 3pm match is not being shown on Canal+ Poland next week!

Why are you overlooking Setanta btw?

Setanta picture quality is like is like something that is from Italia 90.

Whilst I won't argue with a picture quality argument against Setanta - except for the bizarre Italia 90 reference - I just want to see my football team and if my best (or only) option was to watch them in less-than-perfect picture quality, I'd take it.

Your query was in relation to 3pm kick-offs - Setanta will guarantee you Liverpool at 3pm when they're playing at that time (Manchester United permitting). No other provider will give you that guarantee - although the vast majority will show Liverpool as a secondary choice to Manchester United.

For more and better options you will need a bigger dish.

I would use them but I had issues with them in the past so would never use their services again.

Again, won't argue with that - had some myself - but again (for me) seeing my team is paramount and if it means swallowing some pride that's the price I'd pay.
