    Hey guys/gals

As some may know I've been abroad for quite a lot recently due to a work project (only come to Ireland once or twice a month) and as such we have still one more car that needs throwing away parked at our house.
It's a 1999 Fiat Punto which has been off the road since 2009 so no tax or nct.
The tyres obviously at this stage are in dire need of changing and it would definitely need a service and a timing belt/fan belt change plus battery to get it up and running so mega euros basically.
The car is in Loughrea but I don't think there is a place nearby that takes them in as scrap.
Would it be better to flog the car off for 100e say or would the scrap yard pay me for the car?
I'm quite unsure what to do with it and I'm sick of looking at it in the driveway.
    Any ideas?

EDIT: For instance I found this place http://galwaycityrecovery.ie/index.php?route=common/home
The one thing I noticed is the 0e price tag on cars, whats that about??

The car recycling in Galway is in Loisban estate.
    http://www.galwaycity.ie/AllServices/WasteManagement/End-of-LifeVehiclesRegulations/

There is no fee for the disposal of an end of life vehicle, provided you can bring the vehicle to the centre yourself. If you wish your vehicle to be collected, there may be a cost involved.

Or stick it up on adverts and donedeal with many photos. Someone might come for it.

Thanks Biko, I'd have to get it trailered up and thats the problem but the DD is a good idea, for parts alone it must be worth about 100 quid
