    Hey guys.

Iv done a bit of google research but as with a lot of the Ozzy government sites its impossible to find that exact answer.

My question is : how do i go about getting an australian (nsw or wa) vehicle repairers licence using my qualifications/ experience from home ?

    Thanks

As far as I know you dont need one.

I got my trade assessed for my PR visa, cost me over 2k.

It as a long time ago circa 97 when I did it, working holiday visa for a year, got a job then the boss drove me into sydney somewhere and they had a look at my City + Guilds certs (N. Ireland) and issued the licence straight away as in there and then. Small fee.

pretty sure its through VETASSESS for all trade certs.

Call them, If I'm wrong, they will point you in the right direction.

You may need to go through trade recognition Australia.
