Going tomorrow. I can get a lift to Aurthurs quay so I'm looking at getting the M7 bus to red cow then on to Dublin airport then on to Belfast.
Any alternate cheaper faster route i'm not aware of out there?

Is there a bus from limerick to Dublin city centre? You can get bus eireann, ulster us or air coach from Dublin City centre or from the airport
Or does your m7 bus go to Dublin airport?
That is probably the quickest/ best way

That's probably the best way. Changing at the airport instead of the city is easier....

Dublin Coach (Use M7 to Red Cow and change to Airport Service) or Bus Eireann route 12/X12 to Dublin Airport.
Then either Aircoach or Bus Eireann/Ulsterbus route X1 to Belfast.

Note that Bus Eireann can issue you with a through ticket from Limerick to Belfast.

There are lots of options. Put your exact locations and relevant dates and times into www.a-b.ie and tweak the settings. Is Belfast your ultimate destination? Note that there is disruption to train services from Pearse to Malahide over the weekend.

JJ Kavanagh operate a Shannon Airport-Dublin Airport service. http://jjkavanagh.ie/timetables you then have a choice of Bus Éireann or Aircoach.

X1 if you can. Non stop between the airport and Glengall Street. Almost like getting a lift.

that's incorrect rhe x1 makes several stops along the way. It is the slowest route between the cities despite the display claiming it is an express which is.misleadin.

the x2 is the non stop service which operates less.often and is.not.every hour see tometable linked.to above. Aircoach operate 22 services a day and they are all non stop

Aircoach is non stop and usually half empty too. Got it loads of times when it was just me and the driver, grand old natter had for the trip :)

Aircoach is about €5 more expensive than BÉ/Translink, €16 vs €11 at last check

Kavanaghs will take you from Shannon Airport (be aware, not shannnon town) to Dublin Airport via limerick, most of north tip, laois, Kildare and Dublin City in ~5.5 hours.

If you book Aircoach in advance it's £8/€10 single.

Still amazes me why anybody would willingly get that bus, still my definition of hell!- much easier and quicker get the Dublin Coach to the Red Cow and change (I know the OP wants to travel from Dublin but still!)
