Looking at this gaming pc here http://www.adverts.ie/desktop-hardware/gaming-pc-components/1278048
He said he'd give me the whole tower for 425 .

I want to know will it be good for gaming?
Like what fps It can run most modern games and next gen games.
    Is it worth it?
Should I save up for a better pc?
I won't really be playing crisis and stuff like that mostly like Gta Iv, rfactor and rfactor 2, lfs, farming simulator and stuff like that.
Would I be able to upgrade parts in the future?
    Thank you :)

No its a horrible PC for gaming. Its probably around five years old I'd say. You could build a PC that's easily three or four times more powerful for 500

Well, you wouldn't build a PC 3 or 4 times as powerful, but it's not really worth buying for the money simply because it's extremely outdated. What's driving the cost up really is a decent case, a very good power supply and a relatively rare S775 cpu that would fetch a decent amount on the likes of Ebay, but the core of the machine is actually 6 or 7 years old!

As a machine overall though, you're far better building your own machine. Not worth the money at all when you're buying in 2013 with that money in question. If he was selling for 250 or something, then it might be viable, but not closer to 500.

check out this post here from a few threads down. Hundred euro more and you've a brand new machine, with current, up to date parts open to future upgrades, and almost double the performance in current games.
