Car registration book RF134

Please can anyone help. My wife and I bought a 2005 Almera from a dealer in the Ballymount area of Dublin three months ago. We have still not received the log book, I have phoned the dealer on at least 25-30 occasions. They keep saying there was a mix up but have applied for a new log book. I checked with Shannon today and no changes notified to them. I have been to the police and the National consumer agency. The police say car is not stolen and cannot intervene in a civil matter. I have been back to the dealer but he just keeps fobbing me off, he is listed on Carzone.ie etc but is not a SIMI dealer. I have been stopped twice for no tax and last week was warned the car could be impounded. I work shifts and need the car for work and family (have 4 children)
    Any advice appreciated?

Rf134 is no good if the car isn't in your name.

    You need one of these

Nah, just a commissioner of oaths, in our case it was a local politician/shopkeeper and only cost tiny money.
