Materials for Suspended Floor Insulating

Hi all....

I'm looking to insulate my suspended ground floors next week and I'm just going through what materials I need.

I only have around 55sqm to do.

The joists are 114mm so I'm thinking of going with 150mm and having to squash it down a bit. Prefer to compress it than have a 14mm gap between it and the floor boards.

Thinking of getting this from Woodies. I know not the cheapest but I only need 8 rolls:

It's the membrane I'm having trouble with. From research, Solitex Plus was recommended:
15m-x-50m-75m-13kgs

Coming in around €230 inc VAT for the roll. Is there anything else on the market that might be cheaper and easier to find (very few places in Ireland seem to stock the Solitex Plus)

Your woodies link doesn't work, but straight off a local building merchants will generally be cheaper than buying any building supplies from woodies.
Others will be able to tell you here that you shouldn't compress the insulation as its the air pockets that give it its insulation properties.

The link was for Earthwool Loft Roll 150mm @ €19.99 a roll. Seen it cheaper but Woodies is handy for the extra €16 it might cost me.
