Struggling to get up some of the hills around my area with standard chain set so looking for a cheap and cheerful compact until I get fitter :-)

I have a 12/27 already on the back so my last hope is a compact chainset or to rapidly lose 5 stone plus a leg transplant. I am not that clued up on the mechanics of it all but I have shimano 105 on already so something that fit in its place will do.

Chech your rd but it should take a 12-30. €21 rather than changing a good chainset

Merlin are also doing 105 cassettes for £21 (which is best price anywhere) and AFAIK they do free delivery to Ireland on orders over £100.
