    Looks .... Jackass.

Those that'll like it'll like it...

Hopefully they get the balance between scripted story and general public farce just right. Borat has to be one was my favourite movies of the last ten years. This film feels kinda Boratish.

the Bad Grandpa sketches were always funny, dunno if a whole movie of it would work though.

The Grandpa bits in the other films were always alright, but a whole film of them? Likely with minimal appearances from the rest of the Jackass crew?

I dunno. It looks alright but can't help but feel apprehensive.

They were my least liked part of the other Jackass stuff, but the trailer was funny enough.

Yeah, I usually skip over them on the DVDs. I like Jackass but I think I'll give this a miss

I didn't think it would work from the sounds of it. But the beauty pageant gave me enough reason to be hopeful

Just saw this. Amusing, in parts. Some great lines.

    6/10

This was quite good, wasn't sure what way it would work with just Knoxville but it was really funny and the kid was great. It was kind of morally wrong in places but I nearly cried with laughter. Well worth a watch.

I thought all the best bits were shown in the trailer. Dont know why they bothered with the story, no one cared or believed it. I would have prefered to have had it in the usual Jackass style where we see the cast laughing after the sketches.

Saw it last night, agree all the best jokes are in the trailer, it's a real pity they gave away the pageant part as that was hilarious. The format is a bit strange, it's half story half real reactions but the story parts aren't hugely necessary and it would have worked just as well as sketches instead of some threadbare plot. The kid is brilliant in it though and so is Knoxville.

I'm guessing the storyline was included to provide some sort of "reason" as to why the kid was hanging around with the Granddad along with the kid's dad - I suppose it acted as a framework too, to base the pranks around.

Overall, it was okay. Some very funny pranks, but nothing in the film I'd deem as being a must see. I much preferred the likes of Borat and found it much funnier than this, but I admire they were able to stretch a full film out of it. For the most part it was entering. I liked the end credits too, where they showed how they set up the pranks, and telling the people what they were up to.

It gave away all the best jokes, including the
    stripper scene at the pagent
    at the end.

I hope it didnt give away the
grandad getting mashed in the bed.
I nearly choked laughing at that.

Physical comedy with a man apparently in his eighties is a great premise.

The young fella is deadly in it too. He's a great find.

Did what it said on the tin. Found the homophobia of certain member of the public a little shocking.

It doesn't reach the same heights as Jackass, but its still pretty decent.

    Which bit was that?

Thought it was pretty funny, though would agree its a shame the likes of the beauty pageant scene were shown in the trailer. Having said that I thought the bit in the
    strip club
    was nearly just as funny.

Was specific part was it? I'm wracking my brains trying to think of the reaction you're talking about.
Was it when he said to the stripper about having a big schlong?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,515 ✭✭✭tupac_healy

This was entertaining, pretty much what you would expect....

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the resturant part.... farting and all that, say no more!!!

    Yes.
Part and parcel of the job. Pretty sure the stripper would want to beat on one of the women if they had said something like that. If your job is taking off clothes for a living. Then an occupational hazard is people commenting on your tackle. The stripper really went off on one in any case.
