Media Studies Course in NUIM

    Hi! I am just wondering about the Media Studies course in NUIM?
    Does anybody have any information on it, on what is involved and the career opportunities out of it?
    Are they many more courses like it around the country?

    DCU has a course called Communications which is pretty much the same course.

    It's basically what is says on the tin, studying different forms of media ie. TV, radio, internet etc.

    You go through things like editing, broadcasting, social media.

    As for career opportunities, you're probably looking at technicians in respective media industries, possibly even journalists/presenters/broadcasters. Not exactly the job market you want to be entering in the current economic climate, but if it's what you want to do...
