Thought there was already a thread for this year but cant seem to find it ! , must show how crap its been for an apparent solar max!

Anyhow , some decent flaring the last day or 2 has brought activity up to a good mid to high levels.

A chance of some aurora in northern areas perhaps Saturday a a CME heading straight for us though a relatively weak one may bring about some geo magnetic disruption.

    One to watch ! :)

It looks like the sun has really kicked of the past week.
Unfortunately the flares last week produced very weak cme's that made little or no impact.
Sunspot 1875 which was directly in front of us last week is now facing away produced big X1 and M5 flare's and a big cme early this morning, if only it done that a few days ago:(

Sunspot 1882 which produced an X2 X1 flare last week is heading our way, it produced an M4 and M2 flares today with a bright cme which might be partly heading our way so all hope is not lost this week.:)
