    Hi,

i'm just trying to get some advice on the best locations for planespotting in North Dublin. I'll be reliable on public transport, are Howth, Malahide and Portmarnock good spots as I can get the Dart?

    Thanks,

It all depends on the weather I suppose. Howth pier is a nice spot or down the side of the runway just outside the airport. There's always people in cars there watching or having a game of slap and tickle if you know what I mean. But I would say that's the best place as weather will not hamper your viewing experience ok pal enjoy yourself and no surface to air missiles ðŸ˜႒ðŸ˜႒ðŸ˜႒ðŸ˜႒

Has to be one of the best answers I've ever read :) Yeah down the side of the runway is great, that's where I always am, whether 10 or 28 (;))there are great spots.

If you have an iPhone or an android smartphone download the paid version of plane finder. It will enhance your plane spotting session.

I use flightradar and liveatc together and it's great :)

You'll notice the unavoidable time lag on LiveATC if you're beside the runway. While LiveATC will suffice, a handheld scanner is preferable so close to the runway.

Very true, I must get my hands on one when funds allow :)

Or you would hire a crane drive up the side of the runway and bobs your uncle
