They aren't broadcasting on any platform yet. It's old news anyway, been known about more or less since Feb. 2013.

    From the BBC.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-23326709

Can't really glean from the article if BBC Three of Four are becoming full time channels.
Seems like Four will continue to share with CBeebies
"CBeebies HD and BBC Four HD will share a channel since they will not be broadcast at the same time".
"Two of the BBC's new channels -BBC Three HD and CBBC HD - will utilise existing unused capacity", does this mean that they will continue to share a slot or become standalone channels with longer broadcasting hours?
Perhaps better asked on the satellite forum.

December 10th. That's when they will be live on Virgin cable in the UK, so presumably same date for other platforms. Astra 2F is now in position and is expected to be fully operational soon. UTV HD is currently testing on satellite. See lyngsat. The additional 600Mhz DVB-T2 channels are currently operating only from CP with an Al-Jazeera HD promo loop on E33 at 15.5 kW (note the different in power with current post-DSO ERP of 200kW)

Where did you get that date from mrdtv2010?

IIRC its in a Virgin leaflet somewhere. UTVHD is on satellite on 4th November according to their twitter feed.

Could you link me to that particular post/forum please?

Also, if there is a leaflet somewhere, has anyone actually seen it or can provide a copy of it?

    Was certainly mentioned here: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/11/33695265-coming-soon-virgin-tv-2013-vol-page-119.html

Seems like a busy thread, so you will have to go back a good few pages to find posts from a week ago.

Sharing as they do now I think. The 303 Red Button HD service is being removed from the mux to allow them to go on.

    See info on PSB3.

BBC Three & BBC Four are to remain evening/nighttime channels only with their current timeshare arrangement with CBBC & Cbeebies.

On terrestrial, only CBBC and BBC Three HD channels will be available to all Freeview HD viewers, taking the 5th slot on the BBCB multiplex which current has BBC Red Button HD.

BBC Four, CBeebies & BBC News HD are only being carried on the new/temporary COM7 & COM8 DVB-T2 multiplexes that'll be rolled out to about less than half of the main TX sites in the UK. In Northern Ireland, only Divis will carry the two multiplexes - and at reduced power compared to the main six Freeview multiplexes.

All the relevant BBC HD channels mentioned above should also be on satellite at 28.2E around the same time of its launch on terrestrial and cable platforms.
