Budget Android phone <200.. Recommendations?

    Hi.

I've currently got a Jiayu G2s phone which has performed okay the past year.

I had a terrible time getting a GPS lock today and that was the straw that broke the camel's back really as it has really peeved me off far too many times this year.

Anyway I'm in the market for a new pre-pay phone now and I've a budget of €200.

Ideally I'd want the phone to have good GPS, a decent camera and 1GB RAM.

Any recommendations? After the experience I've had with the Jiayu brand, I'd prefer to avoid Chinese Android phones altogether.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Android A820 seems to get good reviews; just ordered one myself from Dx.com but it does involve rooting to get it into a usable English rom.

Wait a week or 2, the nexus 5 will be out and there will probably be quite a few nexus 4's up for sale. I'd imagine they will be dropping to near enough that price, depending ont he pricing for the nexus 5

If you don't fancy the rigmarole of getting a Nexus 5 or dislike sealed batteries/storage then you might have a gander at the Huawei g526 in Meteor. I've got the y300 but I've my eye on the 526 as its got a 4.5" screen and crucially, 1 gb of RAM. It'll need a microSD card though but at least you've got an easy route to return it if there are problems.

Oh, and Huawei phones are easy to unlock. ;)

If you can pay a little more, the HTC Desire 500 or Sony Experia M look like really good mid range phones for €240 ish. The HTC would be my personal choice of the two.

Or maybe a 2nd hand Nexus 4 which will still get all the new Android updates and is a monster of a phone for its price.

Totally off the android topic but I recently got my hands on a Nokia Lumia 520 for 99 in Meteor. I threw the latest dev windows update on it and its running very smooth. Getting used to the Windows environment is pretty simple as it pulls in all Google data seamlessly.
Having tested many of the android models I wanted to have a sneak peak at at Windows version and I have to say, I'm very impressed with this little beauty.
