Hi, I have been asked to help stage a one act play in a secondary school after mid term. However, I am finding it difficult to find a suitable one act play that is for teenagers between 14 and 18, and a play that does not have a religious context. Can anybody help? or point me in the direction of places to search? Any advice appreciated!

Tricky one..havn't a clue myself but maybe try the musicals forum as they might be more ' in the know'...also UK education sites like TES might help...

It is a tricky one, but thanks, will do! The search continues....

The Weir by Conor McPherson perhaps?

The no religious context clause makes finding a decent play much tougher. I would have said Riders to the Sea otherwise.

Thanks Mardy Bum, I looked into The Weir and will be putting it forward as a suggestion. I had thought about Riders to the Sea as well. It has become a time consuming search! But I'm hoping I've come across a viable option with Lady Gregory's Spreading the News as well.
    Fingers crossed!

Spreading the news is probably the safest. I don't much like it but if well put together it would be quite comical
