My wife's Samsung s4 is off. When she tries to turn it back on, it vibrates, the Samsung logo appears then it goes dead again. Anybody experience anything similar?

Sounds like either flat battery or faulty battery.

This happened me too, I rang the Samsung Service centre based in the Uk, the rep advised that a lot of handsets have this battery issue. But Samsung will not replace battery without sending the phone for repair. I bought a replacement battery and have had no issues since. But if they do replace battery's I would definitely claim my battery because I am out of pocket €17.
