    Hello
I have a question about Jobseekers allowance that is confusing me. I am working a 3 day week and I am getting JSB for days not worked. I now have to be means tested for Job seekers allowance. I am single male sharing house with my brother. The form I have to fill out wants to know the details of everybody living in the household (form UP 1B) and their weekly earnings, But I have no clue what my brother earns as its none of my business. How do social welfare class this situation? i.e living in shared accommodation:confused:

As Job Seekers Allowance is a means tested payment the circumstances of all people living in the home are taken into account when deciding eligibility.

You dont have to declare your brothers earnings in order for you to be means tested. If you were under 25 and living with your parents you would have to declare their income or if you were married or co-hab you would also have to declare spouses/partners income for means testing.
