Eptopic pregnancies

    Hi my sil has now had 2 eptopic pregnancies and is devasted. Just looking for some info on them or experiences of them. Is there ways to avoid or prevent them?

    I'm sorry to hear about her losses. I dont know if there is a way to avoid them - they occur about 1 in 100 pregnancies but if you have had a previous ectopic or other uterine or fallopian scarring it sometimes increase the odds, but not always. Her specialist would probably be able to fully advise her on any steps they can take to avoid a third one, if they can.

    This is a fairly decent basic overview
