emobile and unlocked phones

Hi,
I am looking at the Samsung coconut on the emobile website, does anyone know if the phone is unlocked when you purchase?
How much would it cost to unlock, if its possible?

to be honest, I doubt any mobile provider would sell unlocked phones. They would be locked to their own network. On payg, you would usually have to spend a fair amount before they give the unlock code. You could do a search on the web for unlocking companies also.

On the bright side, amazon.co .uk have a range of unlocked phones.

You would get that unlocked from ebay for about €3.50, loads of sites offering unlock services,
or you could look at the phones in Argos or Amazon, there already unlocked.
Some very cheap mobiles if you only need the basic.
