I offered to get parts for a car for my father on Ebay as he doesnt have an account.

First when we hit buy it now, the invoice stated double postage.

After contacting the seller he fixed this as it was a ebay glitch.

The seller asked me was I sure I had the right items, I said yes as my father had the oem numbers of what he wanted, then the seller tried to direct me to more expensive versions of the same item that will fit the car but are not spurious.

I now want to pull out of this sale as I think this guy is trying to flog more expensive parts to me outside ebay.

Who do I contact seller or ebay.

Sale took place 16/10 and there have been near daily messages through ebay since.

If the seller is trying to do deals outside of eBay, definitely contact eBay about it first. Make sure you have copies of what the seller sent you.

I managed to lead the seller to cancel the transaction so I could do the 'other' deal than I just reported it to ebay.

Had to explain to my father what was going on and I think I turned him off internet shopping forever.
