Braces 2nd time around

    Hi

I had braces from the ages of 15-17. Got a good few extractions due to over crowding and the results were great but not perfect.

Im 27 now and over the last 10 years some of the teeth have turned slightly which is my own fault I presume as i didn't always use the night retainer!

What i really want/would love are a full set of veneers but i am hesitant to file down healthy teeth for a 'No return' option (not to mention the cost) so now im considering getting braces again..

My bite was never perfect and the orthdontist did advise that for it to be perfected i would need to have surgery but it has never given me any hassle/discomfort. Im more concerned with the comestic issue at the moment.

So what id like to know is has anyone opted to get braces for a 2nd time because they weren't entirely happy? And if so were the results much different than the first time?
Did they go with train tracks or the clear braces?

I would be hoping to only get braces on my top teeth as the bottom haven't moved - is this an option?

I've my routine check up next month so i will chat to my dentist about it then but just wondering if anyone had any similiar experiences?

    Thanks!
