    Hi all

I was wondering will South Doc visits be included in the free GP visits for under 5's?

    Thanks

No plan has been drawn up yet, nor has any work been done on a contract between GP's and the HSE so the simple answer for now is that we don't know. I would imagine the plan would be to cover those costs.

It could be quite some time before this scheme is actually implemented, I can see the negotiations between the GP's and the HSE taking a very long time if current indications are anything to go by.

My understanding is that the 5 and unders will get a GP visit card which will entitle them to access free GP servcies on the same basis as a medical card holder. So yes South Doc services should be included.
