Good Brandy for 70th birthday

    Lads and lassies, firstly please forgive my terribly uneducated palate.

    I'm looking for recommendations for a good bottle of brandy for a 70th birthday coming up.

    There are 2 price ranges (depending on whether or not we get another gift) one being @ €100 mark or the other being up to the €300 range.

    Any suggestions?

    Remy Martin XO is a superb
    I think it would be somewhere between the 2 budgets.
    Not sure where you'd get it (Airports would be a good bet if someone is travelling)
    It is the only Cognac I've tasted that tastes distinctly of grapes!
