Teeth moving

I wore adult braces for three years and got them off in 2009 and received cosmetic dentistry in the upper left hand side with a bridge which is encompassing four teeth in all. The tooth next to my front tooth on the right hand side has gone from perfectly straight to bending inwards. Is it possible to get some kind of return treatment considering I have a bridge? I do have a retainer for the bottom teeth and have seen that they have moved slightly too. I think all this is a bit of a joke considering there are kids at the age of 12 who get their teeth done and they stay straight. It has only been four years and the tooth is really after moving.
What are my options and yes, I will be returning to the dentist as soon as a I can but saw this thread and was wondering what the feedback would be.

Were you given a retainer for both top and bottom teeth?
Have you worn is exactly as advised? (Eg, each night if required... be honest now!)

The results for children having orthodontic treatment are usually more fixed than for adults as they are still 'growing' (skull, jaw, bone etc) The new position of the teeth is somewhat 'cemented' as the mouth, jaw and face grows and eventually stops.

As an adult, your growing has finished - results usually take longer and may be prone to some minor movement but usually not significant if you have been diligent with retainers etc and if the person who did the work is experienced and qualified.

As a person who had adult braces (took 4 years, that's how slow!) I can speak from personal experience. I wasn't diligent enough with my upper retainer and had movement within 2 months. Back on with a new brace, gap closed and I now wear my retainer everynight. Perfect still, 4 years later.

Go back to your Orthodontist - or was it your dentist that did your braces?

I was only given a retainer for the bottom ones due to my bridge. I wore the bottom one every night for years but got a bit lax recently. It is the upper one I have the problem with, I got mine done in the CUH Dental Hospital by the guy who teaches the postgrads there. He is supposedly one of the best in the country.

I would give them a call and ask to pop in for a review as you are concerned about the changes. I'm sure they will accomodate and will be the best ones to advise you. Best of luck!
